                                Title: STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Working as part of a Software Engineering team on an Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) for the USA & USMC. AFATDS is an automated command & control (C2) system for fire support operations.

 

Mission Integrated Product Team (MIPT) Technical Leader for the past 4 years responsible for directing up to 20 software engineers:

·         Responsible for assigning tasks, mentoring, and assuring that sound software engineering principles are followed.

·         Responsible for Peer Review of all team products to assure technical correctness as well as adherence to company standards and guidelines.

·         Responsible for design, code, and test/integration of code developed using RATIONAL Apex Ada and targeted for Sun Sparc workstations.

·         Contribute to planning of future work as well as proposal efforts by estimating software development efforts using both function points and SLOC counts.


Software Engineer responsible for partitioning and decomposing software requirements from the highest level down to individual software package using an Object-Oriented Design (OOD) approach:

·         Responsible for functionality which utilizes mathematical algorithms to compute volume of fire.

·         Contribute to functionality which receives, processes, and transmits request messages at the application level.

·         Contribute to functionality which processed targets and analyzed missions for optimal attack options based upon commander’s guidance.

·         Responsible for design, code, and test/integration of code developed using RATIONAL Ada and targeted for an HP 9000 using HP/Alsys Ada.

 

6/84-6/91              BELL AEROSPACE TEXTRON - Buffalo, New York

                                Title: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Worked as part of a Software Engineering team on a Mobile Microwave Landing System (MMLS) for the USAF.  MMLS is a real-time, multi-tasking, embedded landing system designed for quick deployment of a runway in a war zone.

 

·         Responsible for design, code, and test/integration of code developed using VAX Ada and VAXset and targeted for an INTEL 80186 controlled by the Ada Runtime Library of the DDC-I Ada compiler.

·         Contribute to proposal effort for the commercial Microwave Landing System (MLS) and the Command/Altitude & Heading Reference System (C/AHRS).

 

Worked as part of a Software Engineering team on a Gravity Sensor System (GSS) for use on the U.S. fleet of Trident II submarines. GSS is a real-time, multi-tasking, embedded inertial navigation support system.

 

·         Responsible for design, code, and test/integration of elements/modules developed using Pascal and targeted for a Motorola 68000 controlled by VRTX.
